October 8 · 7:00 p.m. · Francesca Bonnemaison Women’s Cultural Center
The Tsawa Foundation presentation in Barcelona was held at the Francesca Bonnemaison Women’s Cultural Center, an emblematic space dedicated to highlighting the contributions of women to society, using art and culture as tools for social transformation.
The event, hosted by Mercè Carbonell, was opened by the center’s director, Marta Vergonyós, whose kind words we sincerely appreciate. Following this, Carles Noguera, Ph.D, president of the Foundation, presented the spirit of Tsawa and its commitment to improving the quality of life for all communities and the planet through the integration of scientific knowledge, the wisdom of contemplative traditions, and social action.
The brilliant and inspiring presentations by Javier García Campayo, Ph.D, and Lama Yeshe Chödrön highlighted how neuroscience and contemplative traditions can offer invaluable tools and insights for improving the well-being of individuals and society.
The event concluded with refreshments. This wonderful opportunity fostered a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives among the diverse attendees, who came from various parts of the world, representing a wide range of life and professional backgrounds. Scientists and engineers from different disciplines, writers, artists, teachers, doctors, psychologists, businesspeople, environmentalists, and many other professionals were present, and we are grateful for their attendance and interest in learning about and supporting the Tsawa Foundation project.
We also extend our gratitude to the entire team at the Francesca Bonnemaison Women’s Cultural Center for their generosity in making this special presentation possible.
We have included some highlights from the event in the photo gallery.
